Edwinstowe & Sherwood - Robin Hood's Oak

The Quest for Maid Marian's Missing Sword

Legend has it that when Robin Hood and Maid Marian wed at St Mary's Church in Edwinstowe, Robin bestowed a ceremonial sword to Marian as a sign of his eternal love. However, upon hearing this news, the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham set out to confiscate this sword, believing it had been stolen from his armoury. Robin couldn't let this happen, so he instructed one of his merry men, Rich Pickings, to hide it away from the Sheriff's clutches. Rich then departed on a Crusade soon after stowing it away but left a series of clues to where he hid it and a treasure map marked with the possible locations. Your task, as honorary merry men (and women!), is to solve these clues and reveal the sword's hiding place without the Sheriff's men spotting what you're up to. Good luck Outlaws and be brave on this quest. Let's get Maid Marian's treasured sword back to where it belongs!
