Loch Lomond West - Luss & Tarbet
The Mystery of Lachlan McTavish's Treasure
In 1853, local crofter Lachlan McTavish eloped with the Laird's daughter and a large amount of the Laird's fortune. The Laird was furious and spent the rest of his life trying to track the couple down. However, Lachlan and his bride were never heard of again until late last year, when a tatty old map was discovered hidden in the walls of a crofter's house that was about to be destroyed. On closer inspection, this map shows a deserted island in the loch and scribbled on the back were a series of Clues and a short note from Lachlan. It read, 'Whoever finds me, must solve these riddles to be rewarded with a fortune!'. You shall be the latest team of explorers to follow this trail of Clues around Luss and Tarbet in the hope they can uncover where on this island this treasure is buried…
