Bridlington - Old Town & Market Place

The Hunt for Peg Leg Pete's Pirate Treasure

Local builder and part-time treasure hunter, Luke Forgold, was renovating an old cottage in the historic part of Bridlington when he made a remarkable discovery. Hidden away at the back of the fireplace was an old rum bottle, inside of which was an ancient treasure map. After some research, it was revealed that the map belonged to the infamous pirate Peg Leg Pete, who retired to the cottage in 1713. The map is said to lead to the location of his buried treasure on a small island off the East Yorkshire Coast. However, a group of amateur treasure hunters, known as the Bridlington Amateur Treasure Seekers (BATS), are also on the hunt for this bounty. Luke needs YOUR help, the greatest treasure hunters around, to find the gold before the BATS do. It might just help to think and act like a pirate as you solve the clues. Good luck, explorers!
